UNIcréa ed. 25: Enjoy a riot of creativity in art, fashion and design from 3-6 May

BY the time spring comes around again I know it’s time for the “riot” of creativity that is the UNIcréa Arts & Crafts Salon, which twice annually brings together more than 100 artisans ‘handpicked’ for their originality, passion and talent by UNIcréa founder and director Céline Dreveton.

Céline is committed to introducing new creative talents — at least 60 out of the 100 European artisans on hand — at every new incarnation of this hugely popular arts and crafts fair and the 25th edition will be no exception. Once again, participants will explore the worlds of art, fashion and decor through the seven “universes” or artistic media: wood, metal, earth, glass, textiles, stone and paint.

These materials will be transformed by the artist/an’s imagination and talent into paintings, photographs, jewellery, sculpture, ceramics, glass, clothes, hats, shoes and furniture, and each and every piece is unique.

And this year, the theme “draw me a balloon” will be the inspiration for at least one item created by every artisan: the public will vote on their favourite.

As at every Salon, there will be food and drink on hand, as well as creative one-hour workshops for children at CHF10.00 per child (registration required), a fashion show and other entertaining events scheduled over the event’s four days.

The UNIcréa Salon simply cannot be beat for passion, creativity and inspiration. Find out for yourself if you haven’t already done so!
