Hi, I’m Elena. Thanks for stopping by Creative Living Geneva…

While working as a professional writer, editor, communications/public relations officer and French-to-English translator for newspapers, magazines and websites (The Guardian, The Sunday Telegraph, The Expat in Britain, Swiss News, GEM, UN Special, Swiss Learning, AO Dialogue, InSpine and My AOSpine), for international corporations (Novartis), local businesses (Restaurant-Hôtel du Parc des Eaux-Vives) and for medical foundations (World Health Organization, International Osteoporosis Foundation and AO Foundation), I’ve also harbored a love for arts and crafts and for the talented people who create them.

I truly admire those energetic and entrepreneurial souls who live to create or support creativity. Very few become rich and famous at it, but the artisans who persist in following where their talents lead them are heroes in my book.

For me, creativity is a road to pleasure and peace of mind and the ideal way to meet people. It’s brought me closer to my local communities and introduced me to talented makers whom I would not have otherwise met.

Here at Creative Living Geneva, I want to share information, interviews, ideas and tips about creative people, places, events and activities in the Swiss Romandy and also further afield.

My hope is that what you find here will help you connect with the creators, resources and pastimes that will make your stay in this beautiful region a fulfilling and happy one…however long you stay here.

Because I’m constantly inspired by Switzerland, my home for more than 30 years now, I’m also going to cover some Swiss topics in the hope that you’ll enjoy them as much as I do.
